Cleargreen Advisors Website

Cleargreen Advisors (CGA) is a Boulder, Colorado based consulting firm that specializes in sustainability. They work with companies of all sizes on improving their sustainable practices. As experts in the field their guidance extends from how to meet new standards in operations from retailers to the increasing expectations of accountability from customers. Their work can be applied to companies in all stages of development in sustainability, ranging from introducing new processes to refining existing ones.

TYTHEdesign worked with CGA on the design and layout of their new website. We worked on establishing their overall visual identity, from a compelling color scheme to an intuitive usability map. Our initial steps were to engage with CGA to identify their priorities as a company, their website audience and what type of story they would like to convey. We designed for consistency in visual language so that the new website corresponded with and complemented CGA’s other existing communication material (see the Case study on CGA’s Activity cards), reinforcing their graphic identity. We consulted with CGA to determine a professional, engaging color palate that would remain consistent throughout the site. Having an intuitive website for their users is an essential step for CGA to create an immediate, accessible rapport with potential or returning clients. We focused on accessibility of information and ease in navigation when advising on the layout of the site. Clearly articulating their services was also a priority so that potential clients could quickly identify the range of their capabilities.

As with many small businesses and organizations, the backend management of the website is as important as the overall appearance and content. We worked with GCA to create a WordPress site that would be easily managed in anticipation of updates and future growth. In designing the website we aimed to create a compelling platform that could service CGA’s current and future website needs without significant intervention. A programmer helped us to execute this vision.
